Is Police Brutality illegal or not in India and Indonesia? What about using excessive force like shooting someone who is stealing? If a police wants to stop someone who has committed a crime and the criminal is running away, can they shoot at them even if the criminal doesn’t have a weapon? Tell of any accounts you have seen.

Of course police brutality, informally called third degree, is not legal.
In India at least not all cops carry firearms. There are two types, civil police which includes traffic police and armed police. Only armed police carry firearms and only under special circumstances all cops are issued firearms.
I don’t know exactly but I don’t think they can shoot to stop a fleeing criminal unless shoot at sight order issued by magistrate. But in shootouts they do kill criminals.
One was gunned down in Pune last week making total number of shootouts in the city to 17 in last 20 years. The case is different for metropolitan cities like Mumbai, check out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mumbai_Encounter_Squad

Is this what gets debated on sociology circles lately? No wonder the sokal affair was a success.

I even heard that you are tracked every time you go onto the internet and with oyster travelcards in London and various other ways. Is this really too much?
These are all the ways they track us. Like criminals.

HOW WE CAN BE WATCHED
4.2m CCTV cameras
300 CCTV appearances a day
Reg plate recognition cameras
Shop RFID tags
Mobile phone triangulation
Store loyalty cards
Credit card transactions
London Oyster cards
Satellites
Electoral roll
NHS patient records
Personal video recorders
Phone-tapping
Hidden cameras/bugs
Worker call monitoring
Worker clocking-in
Mobile phone cameras
Internet cookies
Keystroke programmes

What really does it matter? all it means is that the system IS in place to capture/find those who DO offend. If you’re innocent then what do you have to worry about?
