I was thinking about this issue recently while traveling in two different countries: Austria and Algeria.

Austrian police are kind of stern, but they have a very good reputation. You never hear about Austrian cops getting busted for “brutality,” and Austrian SWAT teams don’t just “raid the wrong house.” Austrian cops are serious professionals. Those sorts of dumb mistakes are extremely rare.

As a result, Austrians seem way more relaxed as a society. Very few Austrians carry handguns on them. They don’t fear their police force, and so, there is no need to “raise their game” to match the cops.

Now, in Algeria, basically everyone packs all the time. I even saw elderly old ladies with two handguns strapped under tearaway fabric on their burqas. They were totally covered in those black covering things, but they were still strapped.

Cops in Algeria have an EXTREMELY brutal reputation. They are known to torture suspects in their police stations. They plant evidence ALL THE TIME. They sometimes use sniper rifles to simply pick off enemies at 500 yards instead of even trying to make an arrest. They have even used ROADSIDE BOMBS to wipe out enemies. The cops – using roadside bombs!

Anyhow, American cops are sort of in-between Austrian cops and Algerian cops. They stress out the American people to some extent, and as a result, a lot of Americans feel the need to “step up their game” and carry firearms as well.

Does this theory make sense?

Cops in America are heavily armed and trained to be bullies, people regularly injured. After a series of errors committed by the SWAT team broke into the wrong house for citizens and permanent dialogue with the people, the police are beyond their borders? The former adviser to the Reagan administration Paul Craig Roberts says that people who are attracted by the police are bullies and sociopaths.

Why are we getting involved in Syria?

So, President Obama, the Nobel Peace Prize winning President, has threatened to enact a no-fly zone over Syria because of “governmental brutality.” Ironically, here in the US, Occupy Wall Street protesters are being beat up or pepper sprayed daily by the police. Anyway, Russia has now threatened to get involved with some clear defensive actions on their part. Why on Earth are we getting involved in Syria when we can’t afford it and should be minding our own business? And are we really dumb enough to get involved when it would piss off Russia?

“Hypocrisy” is the right word for this approach. It seems to reflect the personality of the Commander in Chief, either that or the designs of who control him.

But – again – we do not know anything about the “character” of Mr. Obama. No school mates, no history that tells us WHO he really is, not even a trustful “Certificate of Birth” like any other regular citizen, etc. We know nothing of his trips to Pakistan, his connection to Brzezinski, the Trilateral Commission, etc WHO IS HE?

At least from – let’s say – Eisenhower – we knew his grandmother was a devout Christian, he went to Military School, was a well know General and strategist, had a heart condition, was the first patient to receive Xylocaine directly injected to the heart, was instrumental in making well know the atrocities that idiots and ignorants like Amadinajad disseminate in their hatred, and Obama open ended arms received in NYC at the UN.
