This is another photo from the Toul Sleng Genocide Museum in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Thousands of Cambodians, as well as some foreigners, were imprisoned and tortured here during the Pol Pot years of the 1970′s. Many photos of prisoners are currently on display at this museum.

Is health care reform really “Soviet Style tyranny”?

Question by Information Police: Is health care reform really “Soviet Style tyranny”?
I’ve heard many conservatives say that the health care reform act is akin to soviet style tyranny.

Was making health care a right really the worst thing that the Soviet Union did to its people?

I mean, really, think about this

Answer by Desmond W. American Leftist
Yeah, like there were private health insurance providers in the Soviet Union.

Anyone who is going to go out and say our system is becoming more “Soviet” needs to check their sources, or perhaps themselves for mental-illness.

Q&A: “When people fear the govt = Tyranny.” — “When Govt fears the people = Liberty.” Which are we closer to?

Question by End The Fed!!!: “When people fear the govt = Tyranny.” — “When Govt fears the people = Liberty.” Which are we closer to?
“When people fear the government there is tyranny. When the government fears the people there is liberty” – Thomas Jefferson
@John Segal: Wrong. Jefferson had a vision of Federalism of America where a Constitutional Republic could thrive. Obama’s denouncement and mockery of Arizona’s immigration law is PROOF his views do not align with Jefferson.
@Conrad: Please tell me you’re not serious….?
