    in regard to maps you can go to the county you live in and get highly detailed topographical maps of your surrounding areas that include water sources and other land features that can be used in your favor.

    remember if the SHTF than you will have the advantage of knowing your territory the zombie invasion or whoever won’t.

    I just wanted to familiarize everyone with the type of gear they can expect to see.

    The 100 yrd pace is a great idea. I remember years ago vacuum sealing with a zip-lock bag and a straw. Not as tight as the vacuum unit, but works in a pinch and helps with space and packing.

    Finding good concealed places to stash necessities in the perimeter and outlying areas is good preperation as well.
    As a serious backpacker I recommend utilizing available outdoor gear stores, i.e. Backwoods, Campmoor. etc. lots of good info and products there as well. Lots of ultra light technologies.
