How does The Venus Project Compare with COMMUNISM?
COMMUNISM being similar to a resource-based economy or The Venus Project is an erroneous concept. COMMUNISM has money, banks, armies, police, prisons, charismatic personalities, social stratification, and is managed by appointed leaders. The Venus Project’s aim is to surpass the need for the use of money. Police, prisons and the military would no longer be necessary when goods, services, healthcare, and education are available to all people. The Venus Project would replace politicians with a cybernated society in which all of the physical entities are managed and operated by computerized systems. The only region that the computers do not operate or manage is the surveillance of human beings. This would be completely unnecessary and considered socially offensive. A society that uses technology without human concern has no basis of survival. COMMUNISM has no blueprint or methodology to carry out their ideals and along with capitalism, fascism, and socialism, will ultimately go down in history as failed social experiments.

How does this differ from COMMUNISM?
While COMMUNISM is a much more humane social system than what we have today, we feel it does differ considerably from the direction we advocate. While Marx offered a bold new direction in his time, it falls far short of what can be accomplished with today’s technology applied with human and environmental concern.

The Venus Project offers science and technology in the service of humankind on a global scale and eventually helps to eliminate all the artificial boundaries that separate people. The system uses no money and makes goods and services available without a price tag, debt, barter, or servitude of any kind. If we use our technology intelligently, we can create an abundance of goods and services for the entire planet. We use machines and automation to produce and distribute all manufactured products, which will be available at distribution centers to everyone. The purpose of this high technology is to free people so they can pursue their own interests and fulfillments.

We would surpass the need for human participation in the production of goods and services. There is no taxation or obligation of any kind. We advocate no government by human systems. They have always proved inadequate. Computerized systems and cybernetics would be applied to the social system and must comply with the carrying capacity of our global resources. The machines’ main purpose is for the manufacturing and distribution of goods and services while maintaining a clean environment with service to all and profits to none. When people have access to resources, most crimes will disappear. The need for police, military, and prisons will eventually vanish with it. Of course this will coincide with the necessary changes in education. I hope this helps to clarify some points. We realize this is a simplified description of how it differs from COMMUNISM.

The rioting and protest in Montreal following the August 2008 police shooting of 18 year-old Fredy Villanueva highlights the overt sense of marginalization and alienation that youth and particularly people of colour feel in society. Inadequate schools, high unemployment, Police Brutality, harassment, violence and institutional racism define much of their existence.

Between 2001 and 2007, a report shows the frequency of police identification checks on individuals increased by 126 per cent in the Montreal North borough and 91 per cent in St-Michel. This “alarming” increase “touched primarily blacks” such that by 2006 and 2007 between 30 and 40 per cent of young black men in these areas faced police identity checks, compared to 5 to 6 per cent of whites.

Henri Lefebvre questioned, “What exactly is the mode of existence of social relationships? He states that the study of space offers an answer according to which the social relations of production have a social existence to the extent that they have a spatial existence; they project themselves into a space, becoming inscribed there; and in the process producing that ’space’.

If hip hop has taught me anything, it’s that there is a need to understand expression and identity. To critically examine our environments and use artistic measures to define them. Expression of identity should be an unrestricted right. Graffiti art has been a catalyst of identifying the image and representation of those who claim space. But how do you preserve a form of expression when it becomes regulated and criminalized?

In the wake up Fredy Villanueva’s death, those who claimed public space to express were labelled as vandals by the Montreal Police Department. Those responsible would be prosecuted…

DISCLAIMER: It is implied that Shaka Zulu was a great leader, when in actuality he, like Pinochet, was one of the Top 50 Worst Tyrants in All of Human History. While it is true that Shaka was a terrifically skilled general, he is abhorrent because he imposed unrealistic discipline on the general populace coupled with death sentences for the slightness infraction, treated his own soldiers brutally, restricted marriage, maintained a cult of personality, terrorized everyone, retained a network of spies, constant executions, ceaseless torture, & increasingly bizzare behavior towards the end of his life.

According to Martinson, private/select militias are not racist, contrary to mainstream media propaganda. Every race is afflicted by balkinization, as carried out by ignorant sheeple. Most people have not trained with a private/select militia because they are cowardly pacifists. Armchair revolutionaries preoccupy themselves with “awakening more people,” instead of educating the awakened citizens in military science. Entire lifetimes can be spent “awakening more people” & getting nowhere; and there are people who fritter away their lives doing just that. The physical demands of military preparedness necessitates being able & willing to perform tasks, regardless of whether it is being in a forced march or taking out sentries silently. Possessing equipment alone is ineffectual, unless the knowledge & willingness to militarily deploy those tools when necessary is present. Private/select militias’ most glaring flaw is their lack of discipline. People who are too fearful of Big Brother now will be less than useless when either societal conditions continue to deteriorate gradually, or the SHTF.
