the united states was the only country after ww2 to have nuclear weapons so why didnt they nuke all of china and soviet union to put an end to those communists pigs once and for all?
We were loosely allied with the Soviet Union and China during the Second World War. And after the war, we were much more concerned with the return of Fascism than Communism. The Soviet Union wasn’t a big deal until they learned how to build nuclear weapons from scientists at Los Alamos National Laboratories in New Mexico. The US didn’t know the Soviets built a nuclear weapon until they tested one in 1949.
Don’t forget that the Soviet Union doesn’t exist anymore. And China is our friend now. They provide us with cheap consumer goods. And they’ve loaned us almost a billion dollars. The only thing they don’t sell to us is oil. The American lifestyle would not be possible without Chinese worker doing 12 hours a day, 6 days a week for $125 a month.

I’m not an American, but as far as I remember:
Those countries were still your allies after world war 2. By the time Soviet Russia ceased to be an ally of yours, it had its own nuclear weapons, making using nuclear weaponry too risky.
You did, however, begin a global military campaign against communism, killing 4 million Koreans and an uncountable number of Vietnamese just to prove a point. Let’s not forget that you started the Ethiopia-Somalian war too, supplying them with arms to blow each other up and then leaving them in the destitute position in which they remain today, each spending 1/3 of their budget on arms to blow each other up while their people are starving.
"If you don’t like something (whether or not it’s anything to do with you) bomb the shit out of it." Unfortunately, that seems to be the motto of American foreign policy which has continued into the modern day.
You were forced to change your policy of blowing up communists after you were defeated in Vietnam. You realised that bombing the shit out of people wouldn’t change their opinions.
